See above? I see there is a GT3 owner so I think he wins, but who has the quickest RS?

Well Julien has an RS500 - that's probably quick - Chris' 3dr is at a relatively tuned stage so that would be quick too, Alan's 3dr had 350BHP before it's rebuild and that would be somewhere near the top - Pete's Seris 2 is no slouch rich's saff aint slow either! But my Focus eats them all!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha lol lol lol lol lol ;D ;D ;D ;D - joke boys! Depends what you mean by fastest - 0 - 60/30 - 100/ top end? ??

if it includes some corners Gra's Mini would probably waste the lot of us I wouldn't be so sure rich! The FRS has been voted by many Car magazines as the best handling front wheel drive of all time! That's some statement!!!!! Your saff has to be up there with the best of our RS's for 0 - 60 hasn't it?

My M3 sounds like it would get its ass kicked In a straight line probably not but show us the bends and bye bye!! My mate has a heavily tuned 328i - in a straight line it lived with my FRS to 140 (private track) but in the bends unless you can really drive it (for the older guys - jockem mass in the capri) then forget it! What sort of power is it running??

Its totaly standard 3.0 286bhp. It does handle well but like you said, you got to know how to drive it. Its a unforgiving tool that will bite you in the a*s if you get it wrong.
The M3 is not that muc off the lights, a small car with some engine mods wouldnt be all that far behind but when it hits the motor way it is an animal. Well feels like an animal. But I am sure there are some cars on here that could take the p*ss out of it.
Though about charging it but dont want to lose the reliability.

lol 45k, mine has 110,000 and its never had any major work a part from services.... You cant fault the reliabilt of the german cars. I had a stage 2 RS and it was constantly having problems with little things. and the rust of course. I love RS cars, the FRS is a nice car, but for the money you could get a Escort RS Cosworth that has been tuned or mint. I know the Rs cars are cheap to tune but unless youy do a proper job you kill all reliability. I love reliabilit if you havent already noticed.

I got to join in here, I have had my 3 door for 10 years now when I got her I had a new comp head gasket and tming belt fitted and regular servcing its now seen 6 track days 3 full attack classic tours and all ok. The spec is Graham Goode engine built in 95 it has 3 bar map sensor, green injectors, GGR ECU and has been on the dyno at 341bhp. The special ECU plays a big part as it was a one off for max tourque as speced by the previous owner. I expect Willoow your RS will eat it as the Focus is awsome in the handling department.
Mboon I hope you do get a Escort Cosworth as we have only two in the group and both standard.

341bhp!!!!!
Thats a nice wedge of power Mr H!!!!!!
It's all about the organic matter in the drivers seat - if you can drive it it'll be quick - i know many people with 'Fast' cars that can't drive them and therefore they end up being slow.
Mr H will know what i'm talking about!!! (plenty of driving experiance), Rich M too for that matter!!

an Escort would be nice.... but would not want to drive it incase some one hits it, or the dreaded car jacking that we here so much about.
I know a chap who has a escort RS Cosworth in yeovil but he is older and i dont think he would know how to use a computer, he has recently had it sprayed etc.... thats quick apparently... will try find out some more

Then there were 2 Mallard green large turbos versions, one of which had done only 22000 miles, but was sold last year. The 4th one which I saw yesterday when I was filling up with petrol is a Jewel violet small turbo version. Do you know of any others in Yeovil?

Yes you're right Richard Hann still has his, he owns and rents 2 house's in my road, he also had an RS500 which was was tuned by Mountuned, however he sold this a couple of years ago, plus I think he has a Lotus Cortina. Mike Barge of Barge motors sold his Mallard green one last year, nice car and low milage - with aircon. Mine was sold to a customer of mine in London, this guy has since sold it on to buy a BMW M3 CSL, can't blame him for that at all lol ;D

lol RS500! That would be nice! So there are some still around this area, never ever see them.
If I had one I would be doing what it was built for.
I never knew he had a RS500..
